Skin does not always sag noticeably when it starts losing firmness. Sometimes the first change is a softer jawline, fine lines around the eyes or skin that feels less firm around the neck. You may notice these differences long before you consider a cosmetic procedure.

Volnewmer at Seline Clinic Dubai offers a non-surgical approach to these early changes. It uses controlled monopolar radiofrequency energy to improve skin firmness, texture and mild to moderate laxity. Treatment takes approximately 20 to 45 minutes, usually involves minimal downtime and produces gradual improvements rather than an abrupt change in appearance.

What Is Volnewmer?

Volnewmer is a non-invasive skin-tightening treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to heat the dermis, the layer of skin that contains much of its supporting collagen.

Collagen helps skin retain its firmness and structure. As we get older, changes in collagen contribute to fine lines, reduced elasticity and gradual looseness. These changes are often more noticeable around the lower face and neck, although they can affect the body too.

Volnewmer works at 6.78 MHz, delivering controlled monopolar radiofrequency energy into the dermis. This heating can cause existing collagen fibres to contract and encourage the skin to remodel collagen over the following weeks.

There are no needles involved. Energy is delivered through an applicator that rests against the skin.

The device has two features designed to help manage treatment delivery:

  • Water-based cooling helps protect the outer skin surface during heating.
  • Real-time impedance monitoring measures tissue resistance to support controlled energy delivery.

Four interchangeable treatment tips are available for smaller areas around the eyes, facial zones and larger body areas.

Volnewmer has received US FDA 510(k) clearance for specified dermatological uses, including electrocoagulation and haemostasis of soft tissue. This clearance does not establish every cosmetic skin-tightening claim. Evidence for its aesthetic effects comes from separate clinical research.

What Can Volnewmer Improve?

Volnewmer may help with early skin looseness, fine lines and uneven texture. It is most relevant when the skin needs more firmness rather than a significant change in facial volume or structure.

Skin That Has Lost Firmness

Your skin may still look healthy but feel less firm than before. This can happen as its collagen support changes over time.

Volnewmer encourages collagen remodelling through controlled heating. The aim is to improve firmness gradually while preserving your existing facial features.

Fine Lines and Uneven Texture

Fine lines often appear alongside changes in the skin’s surface.

Volnewmer has shown measurable improvement in skin roughness in a small clinical study. Some fine wrinkles may become less noticeable, although deeper folds and enlarged pores do not necessarily respond in the same way.

A Softer Jawline

A jawline can lose definition for several reasons. Sometimes loose skin is responsible. In other cases, changes in fat distribution or deeper facial tissues play a larger role.

Where mild skin looseness is the main concern, Volnewmer may help improve the contour’s appearance. It is not a treatment for removing significant amounts of fat or correcting pronounced jowls.

Loose Skin Around the Neck

The neck often shows changes in elasticity before other areas become noticeably loose.

Volnewmer can be considered for mild neck laxity and fine lines. The degree of improvement depends on how much loose skin is present.

Mild Body Skin Laxity

The abdomen, upper arms and thighs may also develop loose skin, particularly following weight changes or pregnancy.

Volnewmer may improve mild looseness in selected areas. It cannot remove substantial excess skin or replace procedures designed for significant body contour correction.

How Does Volnewmer Work?

Volnewmer works by creating controlled heat within the dermis. The skin responds to this heat through collagen contraction and gradual remodelling.

The process can be understood in four stages.

1. Controlled Heating

The applicator delivers monopolar radiofrequency energy into the upper and lower dermis.

The surface cooling system helps protect the outer skin while impedance monitoring supports controlled delivery of energy.

2. Initial Collagen Contraction

Collagen fibres can contract when exposed to controlled heat.

Some people feel a degree of tightness shortly after treatment. That feeling is not necessarily the same as a visible improvement.

3. Gradual Collagen Remodelling

The skin continues responding after the appointment.

Over the following weeks, collagen remodelling may improve the structure and appearance of the treated skin.

4. Improvement in Firmness

As this response develops, fine lines may appear softer and mildly loose skin may feel firmer.

Changes are commonly assessed after 4 to 8 weeks. The result depends on the skin’s condition before treatment and how it responds.

Which Areas Can Be Treated With Volnewmer?

Volnewmer can be used on selected areas of the face and body. Different applicator tips allow treatment coverage to be adjusted according to the size and sensitivity of the area.

Around the Eyes

Fine lines and mild skin looseness around the eyes may be suitable for treatment.

A smaller applicator is available for this region, but not every part of the eye area can be treated. Our doctor will determine the appropriate zones and safety precautions.

Cheeks and Lower Face

When the cheeks or lower face begin to feel less firm, Volnewmer may help improve mild skin laxity.

If the concern is facial hollowing or substantial tissue descent, tightening the skin alone may not produce the desired change.

Jawline and Double Chin

Volnewmer may improve mild skin looseness along the jawline and beneath the chin.

It should not be confused with a fat-removal treatment. If excess fat is the main reason for a double chin, another approach may make more sense.

Neck and Décolletage

The neck and upper chest can develop fine lines and reduced elasticity over time.

Volnewmer may help improve skin firmness in these areas when looseness is mild to moderate.

Abdomen

Some people notice that abdominal skin feels less firm after pregnancy, weight changes or ageing.

Volnewmer can be considered for mild laxity, but significant folds of excess skin are unlikely to respond sufficiently.

Upper Arms and Thighs

Mild loose skin on the upper arms and thighs may also be considered for treatment.

The amount of looseness, skin quality and area requiring coverage all influence whether treatment is appropriate.

Is Volnewmer Right for You?

Volnewmer may be worth considering if your skin has started to lose firmness and you want to explore a treatment that does not involve surgery or needles.

You may be a suitable candidate if you:

  • Have mild to moderate skin looseness.
  • Notice early laxity around the jawline or lower face.
  • Are concerned about fine lines or skin texture.
  • Have mild looseness around the neck or décolletage.
  • Want to improve firmness in selected body areas.
  • Prefer treatment with usually minimal downtime.
  • Understand that improvements may be subtle and develop over time.

When Might Another Treatment Be Better?

Skin tightening is not the answer to every change in facial appearance.

If your cheeks have become hollow or your face has lost volume, dermal fillers may be more relevant.

If acne scarring or significant texture irregularities are your main concern, Morpheus8 RF microneedling may be worth discussing.

If you have pronounced jowls, substantial excess skin or significant facial tissue descent, a surgical facelift may provide a more appropriate degree of correction.

Our doctor will assess what is causing your concern before recommending treatment.

What Should You Tell Your Doctor Before Treatment?

Your medical history matters, even for a procedure that does not break the skin.

Our doctor will ask about pregnancy, pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, metal implants near the treatment area and active skin infections.

You should also mention previous aesthetic treatments, recent injectables, medications and any relevant skin conditions.

Some factors may mean Volnewmer needs to be postponed or is not suitable for you.

Volnewmer Results: What Can You Realistically Expect?

Volnewmer may improve the appearance of mild skin laxity, fine wrinkles and roughness. Results are usually gradual, and not everyone sees the same degree of improvement.

The available research is encouraging, but it is important to understand exactly what has been measured.

What Does the Clinical Research Show?

In a 2024 study, 50 participants received treatment using a 6.78 MHz Volnewmer device. Forty-five completed follow-up.

Researchers used three-dimensional imaging to measure skin roughness. One month after treatment, the average roughness measurement had improved by 26.23% compared with baseline.

That percentage refers to measured skin surface roughness. It does not mean a 26% facial lift or a result that every patient can expect.

The study suggests a short-term improvement in skin texture and fine wrinkles. However, follow-up lasted only one month, and the study did not include an untreated comparison group to establish how much of the improvement was due to treatment alone.

Another 2024 study involved 30 Korean women and measured changes in selected facial and neck areas. The researchers reported improvements in three-dimensional lifting measurements at one month.

That study also included stem cell media application as part of the protocol. This limits how confidently the findings can be attributed to Volnewmer alone.

Both studies provide early evidence, but larger controlled studies with longer follow-up are needed to understand the extent and durability of the results.

When Will You See a Difference?

Some people notice a feeling of tightness soon after treatment. Others find that changes become more apparent over the following weeks.

Improvements are commonly assessed after 4 to 8 weeks, as the skin responds to the thermal stimulation.

A realistic result may be slightly firmer-looking skin, a smoother texture or a subtle improvement in mild looseness. Volnewmer does not remove excess skin or reposition deeper facial structures.

How Long Do Results Last?

Volnewmer results are commonly described as lasting around 6 to 12 months.

This is a general treatment expectation rather than a duration established for every patient through long-term clinical trials.

The condition of your skin, natural ageing and individual response can influence how long changes remain noticeable.

Our doctor will discuss whether further treatment is appropriate after assessing your results.

Volnewmer vs Ultraformer MPT vs Morpheus8

Volnewmer, Ultraformer MPT and Morpheus8 are different treatments, even though all three are used for selected skin-tightening concerns.

The main difference is how energy reaches the tissue and which concerns the procedure is intended to address.

Volnewmer

  • Technology: Monopolar radiofrequency (RF).
  • Main tissue targets: Upper and lower dermis.
  • Needles: No.
  • Main concerns: Mild skin laxity, firmness and fine lines.
  • Downtime: Usually minimal.

Ultraformer MPT

  • Technology: Focused ultrasound (HIFU).
  • Main tissue targets: Selected dermal and deeper tissue depths.
  • Needles: No.
  • Main concerns: Selected skin tightening and contour concerns.
  • Downtime: Usually limited.

Morpheus8

  • Technology: RF microneedling.
  • Main tissue targets: Dermis and selected subdermal tissue.
  • Needles: Yes.
  • Main concerns: Skin texture, acne scars and skin laxity.
  • Downtime: Redness and swelling can be more noticeable.

Volnewmer or Ultraformer MPT?

Volnewmer primarily heats the dermis through monopolar radiofrequency.

Ultraformer MPT uses focused ultrasound to deliver energy at selected depths, including deeper supporting tissues.

If the main issue is early skin looseness and fine lines, Volnewmer may be considered. Where treatment at deeper tissue levels is appropriate, Ultraformer MPT may be another option.

The choice depends on your anatomy and what needs to be treated, not which device is newer.

Volnewmer or Morpheus8?

Volnewmer delivers radiofrequency without puncturing the skin.

Morpheus8 uses microneedles to deliver radiofrequency into the tissue. It may be considered when acne scars, textural changes and skin laxity need to be addressed.

Because microneedling creates controlled skin punctures, its recovery experience is different.

Can Volnewmer and Ultraformer MPT Be Combined?

Yes. Volnewmer and Ultraformer MPT can be used in a combined approach sometimes called Volformer.

The idea is to address different tissue depths through two energy technologies.

However, combining them does not automatically produce a better outcome. There is limited direct evidence that the combination consistently performs better than either treatment alone.

Our doctor will decide whether combining procedures is appropriate and advise on the timing.

Volnewmer at Seline Clinic Dubai

At Seline Clinic in Umm Suqeim 1, Volnewmer is available as part of our non-surgical aesthetic treatments.

Choosing a skin-tightening procedure should begin with understanding what has changed in your skin.

A softer jawline might be caused mainly by mild laxity, but it can also involve changes in fat or deeper facial tissues. Treating one problem will not necessarily correct the other.

Our doctor will assess your skin condition, explain the options and discuss whether Volnewmer is likely to make a worthwhile difference.

When appropriate, 3D skin analysis can provide additional information about skin texture and other characteristics.

Your treatment plan will take into account the area involved, recommended coverage and whether further sessions should be considered.

The aim is to make a treatment decision based on your skin, rather than choosing a procedure simply because it is available.

Is Volnewmer Safe? What About Side Effects?

Volnewmer includes cooling and impedance monitoring to help manage treatment delivery. However, radiofrequency treatment still carries potential side effects and complications.

Common Temporary Effects

You may experience mild redness, warmth, swelling or temporary sensitivity.

These reactions often improve within hours, although some people may experience symptoms for longer.

Less Common Risks

Although less common, Volnewmer can cause burns, blistering or changes in skin pigmentation.

The risk depends on several factors, including skin condition, treatment settings and technique. Water-based cooling and impedance monitoring help control energy delivery, but they do not eliminate every risk.

If you develop persistent pain, blistering or unexpected skin changes after treatment, contact Seline Clinic for medical assessment.

Is Volnewmer Suitable for Darker Skin?

Volnewmer may be suitable for a wide range of skin tones because radiofrequency energy does not rely on pigment absorption.

However, darker skin can still develop pigmentation changes following inflammation or thermal injury. Your doctor will assess your skin type, medical history and potential risks before recommending treatment.

How Much Does Volnewmer Cost in Dubai?

Volnewmer at Seline Clinic Dubai starts from AED 4,500 for 300 shots.

The price depends on the treatment area, coverage required and individual treatment plan.

A small facial area and a larger body area do not necessarily require the same number of shots. Treating multiple zones may also affect the final cost.

Our doctor will assess your skin and explain the recommended coverage before treatment.

How Many Volnewmer Sessions Will I Need?

There is no fixed number of sessions suitable for everyone.

The recommendation depends on the degree of skin laxity, the areas being treated and how your skin responds.

Additional sessions or maintenance may be considered, but more shots or more appointments do not automatically mean better results.

Step-by-Step: How Ultraformer MPT Is Performed at Seline Clinic Dubai

Step 1: Before Treatment

Our doctor will assess your skin and the areas you want to improve.

This is an opportunity to discuss how much skin looseness is present, whether radiofrequency is appropriate and what level of improvement might be realistic.

The proposed treatment coverage, number of shots and cost will be explained before proceeding.

Step 2: During Treatment

The applicator is placed against the skin and delivers radiofrequency energy across the selected areas.

You may feel warmth as each area is treated. Some parts of the face or body can be more sensitive than others.

The device’s cooling system helps manage the surface temperature while energy delivery is monitored.

A session generally takes between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on the area and treatment coverage.

Step 3: After Treatment

Your skin may feel warm or look slightly red. Mild swelling can also occur.

These reactions are usually temporary. Many people can return to work and normal daily activities on the same day.

Your clinical team will explain any precautions relevant to the treatment you have received.

Step 4: Recovery Timeline

  • Immediately afterwards: Warmth, mild redness or swelling.
  • First few hours: Redness and warmth often begin to settle.
  • First 24–48 hours: Most usual activities are possible, although some sensitivity may remain.
  • Weeks 1–4: Early changes in skin texture or firmness may become noticeable.
  • Weeks 4–8: A useful time to assess gradual improvements.
  • Following months: Results may continue to evolve; maintenance depends on individual needs.
  • This is a general guide rather than a fixed recovery schedule.
