BBL therapy vascular lesions

Many patients with couperose have hypersensitive skin prone to irritation and inflammation. In such a situation, LED light therapies are considered to be the best option as they treat dilated vessels only, without affecting healthy tissues or skin integrity.

At the Seline Clinic, we adopt Broad Band Light BBL therapy, one of the most advanced and delicate methods. The principle of its action is based on broadband pulsed light which penetrates the skin and selectively targets hemoglobin in dilated capillaries. As a result, vessels coagulate, redness disappears and the skin is refined.

The advantage of this treatment over other types of photorejuvenation couperose therapy consists in its ability to precisely adjust the wavelength, intensity and direction of the pulse. This allows us to adapt the procedure to individual characteristics of the client, including sensitive or pigmentation-prone skin.

Fotona laser rejuvenation protocols

This is an innovative method that combines two types of lasers — Er:YAG and Nd:YAG — for comprehensive rosacea couperose treatment and general rejuvenation. Nd:YAG-laser addresses the deep layers of the dermis, strengthening the vascular walls and effectively reducing the severity of couperosis. Er:YAG gently treats the skin surface, improving its texture, eliminating fine irregularities and provoking the cell renewal.

The patented Fotona 4D and 6D protocols deserve special attention. Fotona 4D couperose treatment includes four consecutive stages of action — intraoral lifting, fractionated resurfacing, deep heating and superficial rejuvenation. This makes it possible to work on both deep and superficial skin structures, improve turgor and get rid of minor vascular manifestations. The 6D protocol compliments this system with two stages: infraorbital lifting and enhanced resurfacing.

Indications and contraindications

Signs of couperose are as follows:

• vascular network and spider naevus;
• diffuse redness;
• hypersensitivity;
• recurrent irritation caused by cold and sun.

Each of our procedure is preceded by the consultation with a cosmetician to rule out possible contraindications such as:

• acute inflammatory skin diseases;
• herpes in the active phase;
• cancer;
• exacerbations of autoimmune diseases;
• pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• severe blood-clotting disorders;
• infectious diseases;
• fever.

Preparation

This stage depends on the chosen methods, but there are general rules:

• Stop taking anticoagulants (subject to prior agreement with your consulting physician), exclude aggressive cosmetic products and traumatic care procedures, and avoid direct exposure to sunlight 3–5 days before the session.
• Avoid alcohol and caffeine, do not introduce new care products to exclude irritation 1–2 days prior the treatment.
• On the day of the procedure, do not engage in intense physical activity, do not visit saunas and bathhouses.
